New Report: A Citizen’s Guide to Climate Change

A new report written by West Virginians for West Virginians explains the science of climate change and how it’s affecting the Mountain State.

The report, A Citizen’s Guide to Climate Change, is designed for West Virginians who are concerned about climate change and want more information. The Guide explains the science behind climate change; details its key impacts in West Virginia, like flooding; and provides common-sense potential solutions to this global problem.

The report is a product of a new West Virginia based coalition, of which WV Rivers is a founding member, call the West Virginia Climate Alliance. Members of the Alliance held a press conference to introduce the Guide and the goals of the coalition on September 21, you can watch it below.

Check out media cover from WV Public Broadcasting and MetroNews on the Alliance and the report. You can also catch members of the WV Climate Alliance discussing the Guide on Talkline with Hoppy Kercheval, watch the video here.
