Don Garvin, WV Rivers’ Board Member, Leaves a Legacy of Doing What’s Right for Rivers
It’s with a heavy heart we share that Don Garvin, founding board member of West Virginia Rivers Coalition, has passed away.
In many ways Don was the heart and soul of WV Rivers. He devoted his life to clean water and healthy headwater streams. His belief in always doing what is right for West Virginia’s streams – regardless of how challenging or futile it seems – remains a guiding principle of WV Rivers. Angie Rosser, our executive director, shares a tribute to Don and the legacy he leaves behind, you can read it here.
A public memorial service in remembrance of Don’s life and countless contributions to the people and rivers of West Virginia will be held on Thursday, April 5, at 11:00am, in Riggleman Hall at the University of Charleston.
