🎉🌎 Celebrate Earth Day with West Virginia Rivers Coalition!

Happiest of Earth Days to you, friends!

It’s been 55 years since the first Earth Day was celebrated by millions; it was a moment of unity, vision, and hope — a collective recognition that the land, air, and water we share deserve our care and attention. And now, all these years later, we have an even deeper understanding and appreciation of the importance of clean water, protected lands, and healthy communities, especially in the great state of West Virginia.

For the last 35 years, West Virginia Rivers Coalition has been actively protecting the rivers of West Virginia and the mountains from which they flow. These exceptional waterways and landscapes are a part of who we are; they shape our communities, support our wildlife, and sustain our way of life. While we strive every day to remember how important these resources are to our local communities, Earth Day does a great job of reminding us how important it is to take care of these lands and waters, not just for today, but for generations to come.

So this Earth Day, we invite you to be part of that mission. Your support helps us:

  • 🌊 Monitor and safeguard clean water across West Virginia and beyond
  • 🌄 Support local communities in protecting their watersheds and public lands
  • 🔬 Share science-based solutions for healthy rivers and resilient communities

When you make a gift to West Virginia Rivers Coalition, you help ensure that West Virginia’s rivers, lands, and communities will be protected and have the chance to thrive.

So, won’t you consider making a gift today in honor of Earth Day? Make a contribution here.

When we care for our rivers, we care for everything they touch — from the fish that swim in them, to the families that drink from them, to the forests that grow alongside them.

Thank you for your continued commitment and generosity. We are grateful to have you by our side.

For clean water and healthy communities,

Jennie Smith
