As part of WV Rivers’ Elkspedition Picnic & Paddle ACE Adventure Resort is providing a limited number of FREE raft seats to folks interested in joining the flotilla. Register soon, space is limited and the rafts will fill up fast!
West Virginia Rivers Coalition’s Elkspedition Picnic & Paddle is a FREE celebration of the Elk River on Labor Day, September 4, at Coonskin Park in Charleston, WV.
Join a flotilla of kayaks, canoes, rafts or anything else that floats for a celebratory 3.5-mile paddle on the Elk River. After the float, paddlers and community members will be treated to a good old-fashioned BBQ picnic, featuring live music with one of Charleston’s favorite bands, The Dread Pirate, Roberts!
The Elkspedition Picnic & Paddle is a FREE event, but registration is required.

Have your own boat? Register to bring your own boat and join the flotilla here. ACE will be providing shuttle service to paddlers bringing their own boat.
Paddler check-in begins at 12pm at the Columbia Pavilion at Coonskin Park; the picnic will follow immediately at approximately 3:30pm. ACE will be providing shuttle service for paddlers who bring their own boats.
