New Staff Help Expand WV Rivers Mission in the Potomac Highlands
WV Rivers’ mission to conserve and restore West Virginia’s exceptional rivers and streams continues to expand in the Eastern Panhandle. In fact, we’ve grown so much that we’ve hired a full-time staff person to coordinate our work.
We are so excited to welcome Tanner Haid to the WV Rivers team, he’s our new Eastern Panhandle Field Coordinator. Tanner is a longtime Charles Town resident with a background in urban watershed forestry. WV Rivers’ supporters and partners may know him through his past role as the leader of Project CommuniTree at the Cacapon Institute.
Tanner is coordinating our programming in the Eastern Panhandle, including our Safe Water projects, the Conservation Collaborative, and our Choose Clean Water Coalition work. WV Rivers is fortunate to build upon the great work of our contract partners in the Eastern Panhandle and with Tanner’s addition to the WV Rivers staff we’ll be able to do even more for our waters.
