Join Us for “Petroleum-238” Musical Book Tour Event in Buckhannon
You’re invited to a unique event at ARGO BOOKS in Buckhannon, WV on May 14th at 6 PM, hosted by the West Virginia Rivers Coalition and Buckhannon River Watershed Association.
This event will feature “Petroleum-238: Big Oil’s Dangerous Secret and the Grassroots Fight to Stop It” by acclaimed science journalist Justin Nobel.
Through seven years of investigation, Nobel uncovers the truth about the U.S. oil and gas industry’s radioactive waste and its impact on public health and the environment.
This isn’t just a book reading, though, it’s a musical journey through Appalachia. Join us for a live performance by musician Pierson Keating.
We hope you will join us for an evening full of opportunity for us to learn, engage, and take action on important environmental issues facing our state.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please feel free to contact us at wvrivers@wvrivers.org.
We look forward to seeing you there.
More soon,
