We are in full summer swing here at West Virginia Rivers and our monthly New River Gorge West Virginians for Public Lands meeting is around the corner.
We haven’t scheduled the meeting yet because we want to hear from you! Please share your availability for our next meeting via this doodle poll, here. Please complete the poll by 5PM, Friday, June 28.
During the meet-up, WV Rivers’ Public Lands Coordinator, Rhea Mitchell, will provide information on the Land & Water Conservation Fund, which supports access and recreation on public lands, and a proposal to reclassify the New River Gorge National River as the New River Gorge Park and Preserve.
Rhea will also share events you can get involved in over the summer, like an awareness and fundraising event at Freefolk Brewery, and a picnic and clean-up at Fayette Station!!
Our location is TBD, so stay tuned and invite your friends!
See you soon!
