The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have released a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the proposed development of an Underground Mine Safety Research Facility in Mace, West Virginia.

A community meeting will be held on April 1, 2019, 5:30pm to 8:30pm, at the Linwood Library in Slatyfork, West Virginia, to assist residents with submitting comments on the Draft EIS. The deadline for written comments is April 5. Learn more through recent press coverage here, here, here and here.

Written comments can be submitted through April 5, online at regulations.gov. Search Docket No. CDC-2018-0057 and click “comment now”. Enter text into the comment box or click “choose file(s)” to upload.
