Deadline to Register to Speak During Clean Power Plan Public Hearing – Tomorrow, 11/16

Thursday, November 16, is the deadline to sign up to comment on the proposed repeal of the Clean Power Plan. Charleston is the site of the nation’s only public hearing on the proposed repeal of the plan, which will be held November 28 and 29. Registration is required to speak at the hearing, register here.

The Clean Power Plan was developed over many years to reduce adverse health effects from air pollution, like asthma and heart attacks. The aim of the plan is to set carbon emission performance standards for existing fossil fuel power plants. It also provides a path toward a renewable energy future.
