Are you ready to blow off the winter stink and say hello to spring? WE ARE!
It’s been a long winter, and we could all use a little FUN. Especially, right now, as the 2021 WV Legislative Session is coming to an end. Let’s face it, it was a rough one. That’s why this year we’re trying something new!
Each spring, we need to raise funds to replenish our coffers after the legislative session. Our science-based policy advocacy is paid for by your tax-deductible donations to our Science Fund! Your gifts make our weekly water policy updates, scientific testimony, and easy commenting through our action alerts all possible.
So, this year, let’s put a little FUN in Science Fund, by gathering together for a virtual Spring Shindig Fundraiser on April 27 at 7:00pm! Not only are we going raise money for critical water policy advocacy, we’re going to have a lot of fun doing it! The Spring Shindig Fundraiser will feature great music, greetings from WV Rivers’ staff and board, river trivia, prizes, and a very special toast to clean water!

$100 VIP (Very Important Pint glass) tickets include a limited edition Candy Darter pint glass, to hoist as we toast to clean water. Order by close of business 4/21 to make sure your pint glass is delivered in time for the Spring Shindig.

P.S. We’re excited to partner with Freefolk Brewery in Fayetteville for the release of their new Guyandotte Blue Crawdad beer, part of their Wild and Free series. The easy drinking Berliner Weis, brewed with spicebush and orange peel, will be available for purchase after April 17. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to WV Rivers! If you’d like to pour this brew into your pint glass during the Spring Shindig, check these local craft beer sellers or order directly from Freefolk to have the brew shipped directly to your door (available in WV only).
