Trout Unlimited’s and WV Rivers’ WV/VA Water Quality Monitoring Program has partnering with the West Virginia Save Our Streams Program to train our volunteer water quality monitors to conduct benthic macroinvertebrate assessments at their monitoring sites.

Collecting, identifying and counting aquatic insects is a great way to gauge the long-term and cumulative health of a stream.

The WV/VA Water Quality Monitoring Program is hosting a SOS workshop in Elkins, WV on June 30. This training is the rescheduled May 19 workshop which was canceled due to poor weather. To register the June 30 training, please email acrowe@wvrivers.org.
