The WVDEP is currently accepting comments on a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit application for Antero’s landfill project. We made it easy for you to submit comments on the proposed project here.
You can view the Antero NPDES Permit by visiting this link, type “WV0117579” in the box titled “Permit Number” and click “go.”
The proposed Antero landfill and wastewater treatment facility would encompass approximately 486 acres in Doddridge and Ritchie Counties. The facility would treat fracking wastewater for re-use and dispose of the salt byproducts in the attached landfill. The NPDES permit allows stormwater runoff at the landfill to discharge within Hughes Water Board’s drinking water protection area. View our fact sheet and suggested comments on the project here.
