Membership Coordinator 

Reports to WV Rivers Coalition Communications Manager   

The primary function of the Membership Coordinator is to work closely with the Communications Manager to assist with select day-to-day operations of the organization. The position involves materials inventory, incoming mail processing, premium orders, donation processing, data entry, and database maintenance. The ideal candidate has familiarity with managing spreadsheets, entering quality data, and reporting results.  

 This is a part-time contractor position with the expectation of approximately 10-15 hours of work per week on average, benefits are not included. Work hours can be flexible during the week, with the expectation that activities need to be conducted on an ongoing weekly basis. Compensation is $15-$25/hour, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities Include:  

  • Processing weekly mail and online donations 
  • Mailing receipts and donor thank you notes
  • Preparing and mailing deposits  
  • Processing online sales orders and tracking inventory  
  • Conducting data imports for communications software and member database 
  • Supporting data and list management needs for digital and print mailings 

 Desired Qualifications: 

  • Strong organization and time management skills  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel 
  • Experience in CRM database management: Salesforce, EveryAction, or similar.  
  • Natural bias towards continuous process improvement 
  • Strong commitment to data integrity 
  • Willingness and ability to learn and understand new software programs and apply technical knowledge.
