Logging not required — West Virginia’s state park system also benefits from the Land and Water Conservation Fund. 26 of our 37 “wild and wonderful’ state parks have received LWCF grants totaling over $8 million. In 2017, Pipestem State Park got $185,000 from LWCF to renovate the campground with electricity and water, improving facilities for locals and visitors depend on to enjoy their stay in Almost Heaven.
