Backyard benefits. Coonskin Park is a great example of the impact the Land and Water Conservation Fund can have on a local park. LWCF has help provide the picnic shelters, swimming pools, playgrounds, and golf course in this popular and well-loved county park. What would Coonskin be without these amenities? All told, Coonskin has received over $1.3 million dollars in federal support. This money comes at no additional cost to household taxpayers – the fund is paid for by government royalties on offshore oil and gas leases.
